PDF drawing requirements
Choose the right PDF for your workflow. These requirements apply to automated drawing processing in FutureCalc.
PDF exported from CAD
CAD-exported PDF drawings are supported for automated takeoff. Use the PDF export from the drawing’s CAD application. Uploaded files are validated on upload; files that do not meet the requirements may be rejected for automated processing.
Scanned and flattened PDFs
Scanned, rasterized or flattened PDFs and PDFs containing photographs of drawings are not supported for automated takeoff. Request a PDF export from the original CAD application if you want to use automated processing.
Manual work
PDFs containing scanned drawings or photographs can be used for manual annotation and takeoff in the platform. The ability to work manually does not mean that the file is supported for automated processing.
